AGE

The skin has become wrinkled
The hair has turned all white
The body is a aging
The eyes have lost its sight.

The hands and legs don't work anymore
It's difficult to walk
The body is a aging
The voice is unable to talk.

Though the body is crumbling
The mind is still in it's youth
For age is just a number
You're as old as you feel.

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
