COLLEGE REUNION

Gone are the days of youthfulness
Of unfiltered joy and gay abandon
We are now prisoners of the mundane.  

But as we advance in age
The memories of our college days
Never fail to put a smile on our face.

Now we revisit those days
And are filled with gaiety and exuberance
During our college reunion .

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
