Inborn or earned

Beauty and brain should go hand in hand
Beauty you are born with
Brains you can earn.

I know I am pretty
People keep telling me so
I am happy with my looks
But you should know I am good with books too.
I have spent  so much time studying
Honing my intellect  so as to say
But to everyone I am just an alluring face
My cerebration has no place.

She is a brilliant scholar
A person with top class intelligence
But she is a genius
Who's endowed with mediocre looks.
People only praise her brain
And nobody realises her pain
When a word in approbation of her looks
Is completely ignored by all.

 Beauty and brain should go hand in hand
Beauty you are born with
Brains you can earn.

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
