Do you remember
It was only a few years ago
I used to carry you in my arms
And rock you to sleep every day.
I taught you to walk my love
And dried all your tears
You grew up to be so brave and beautiful 
So proud was I of your accomplishments.


Do you remember
It was only a few years ago
You held my hands and promised
That we'll always be together .
But as I sit in my little room
In my old age home
I miss you so much my dear
But you are busy.


Do you remember
It was only a few years ago
You had a mother
Who has seized to exist for you.
But I am still alive my darling
Leading a lonely life
Waiting patiently for a glimpse of you
Before I close my eyes.

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
