Vanished

I couldn't believe he left me like this
Promised eternal love
And just vanished.


He was always there by my side
Through life's journey
Always held my hand.


We always thought nothing will break our pair
We will leave this world together he promised.
But all our dreams were shattered in a trice
As he left for his journey to the other world.


I couldn't believe he left me like this
Alone and single
And just vanished.

    Beautiful wish of life's journey together holding each others hands but suddenly death played a spoilsport by abruptly snatching one hand never to come and hold back again. Very true in most of our lives.

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
