'Tis the Season

Winter is here
With chilly winds and fresh air.
It brings with it thoughts of cold night
Hot chocolate and sweaters held tight.
Frosty mornings and toasty mugs
When the snow gets whiter
And light is brighter
We snuggle under the warm blanket
To keep ourselves snug
And have happy thoughts
Of merry Yuletide.
Winter is here
With it's frost and nip
With the world that is snowy
Makes your heart skip a beat.

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
