Trepidation

Fear is an emotion that engulfs us all 
Through all the stages of life
It perturbs everyone. 
Babies are alarmed of faces unknown,
Darkness fills children with terror,
 
Examinations pervades a student with jitters,
Life's expectations fills adults with disquiet. 
Whether it is jobs, housework or being a parent
All these are equally distressing. 
It may be health,  wealth or family
That we feel consternation about.
As we go through life
We face all these horrors 
Till at the very end we get the shakes of demise.

    One's unknown and uncertain future is the cause of all fear. None of us know as to what's going to happen to us the next moment. Your poem very well explains and elucidates different kinds to fear in different stages of human life. Feelings expressed accurately and brilliantly.

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
