No need to hold my hand ,dear one

As I traverse through the uncertainties of life

Just be there when I stumble

And lead me to firm ground.


No need to help me, dear one

As I solve the puzzles of my life

Just be there when I entwine the strands

And lead me to unravelled ground.


No need to comfort me, dear one

As I face the sorrows of life

Just be there when I  give in to grief

And lead me to exultant ground.


No need to correct me, dear one

As I make mistakes in life

Just be there when I  make errors

And lead me to prudent ground.


You being there in my life, dear one

Is all the assistance I need

Whatever curveball life throws in my way

I will face it victoriously.

I hear his music wafting by The mellifluous sound of the flute Much before I see him pass The strains of his melody Puts my worries on the mute. The tunes of his flute Drfting through my window Uplifts my spirit Takes away my distraught Makes me ready to face the world. I run to the window to see him pass As everyday I am surprised to see His thin, old body Weary and bent But his face aglow with the music he plays.
